Person-shaped toy standing on top of a pile of coinsIf you wish, you can make extra contributions to your individual retirement account (i.e. more than 8% of your basic salary). These are called Additional Voluntary Contributions or AVCs.

These additional amounts will not attract any further contributions from HBOS, but they will be invested as part of your individual retirement account and can be used to buy additional benefits when you retire.

And, don't forget, these extra contributions benefit from tax relief, just like other contributions.

To make extra contributions, just contact $Group Pensions.
