After looking at each of the investment choices, you may still be scratching your head about what's best for you.
The reality is that pensions and investments are a personal thing. Your choice of investment funds will depend, amongst other things, on whether you have other pensions or investments in place and, importantly, your own attitude to risk.
For example, if you have enough pension built up with other employers to provide a comfortable retirement, you might feel more confident about investing your HBOS Scheme in more volatile funds, such as equities.
Alternatively, if all of your pension benefits are linked to the HBOS Scheme, or if you are getting close to retirement, you might be less interested in a higher risk investments and choose to invest in less volatile funds.
The Investment Choices available to you are designed to meet the needs of as many different individuals as possible.
To illustrate this, we’ve put together a short self assessment guide to show how Investment Funds are geared toward different needs.
