When you first go on paternity/adoption leave, contributions to the Scheme will continue to be made based on the same percentage of your salary - unless you tell us otherwise.
If, during your period of leave, your pay decreases, HBOS will ensure that the same value of contribution continues to be made to your individual retirement account each month by making up the difference on your behalf.
If Your Pay Reduces to Zero During Paternity/Adoption Leave
If your pay reduces to zero during paternity/adoption leave, your own contributions and those by HBOS will cease.
When you return to work, your own level of contributions will resume automatically, unless you tell us otherwise, and HBOS contributions will also resume. You will also have the option to make further contributions, to cover any that you missed. If you choose to do this, HBOS will add its own corresponding contributions to your individual retirement account.
